Welcome!
So glad that you stumbled upon our site today. You'll find a wealth of information on how to live a happier, healthier life, and have fun as well.
I've been a counsellor at major universities around the globe for over twenty years, and am on a mission to create awareness of depression, and how to live a full, satisfying life while recovering from this illness.
I now specialise in writing & speaking about mindfulness meditation, depression and recovery issues.
Years of acting "So Together" while suffering from depression caught up with me and I 'hit the wall' in June of 2006, ran away from home, contemplating suicide. A small glimmer of light, hope, God, wellness, whatever you want to call it lead me to finally ask for help. What resulted was a 'breakthrough' and recovery.
I went to rehab, yes, yes, yes. And am I ever grateful for the gift of recovery and now the opportunity to share this with the community. Depression is a serious illness. Yes, it is an illness, and 1 in 5 of us will have a depressive illness sometime in our lives. Awareness and action are key, and this is what led me to change careers, publishing my first non-fiction book, I'm So Together, I'm Falling Apart, now available through this website, Booktopia.com.au and in February, Amazon.com and Amazon.com.uk!
